The Sports Therapist provides a valuable complementary service undertaking primary assessment of a sports injury, handling the injured person safely and determining the need for referral. At a later stage, the therapist will use corrective apparatus, graduated exercises and skilled massage techniques to bring the sports person back to full fitness.

This Course prepares students for work in sports clinics, sports clubs, leisure centres, gyms, alternative therapy clinics, health centres or health farms.

Further study - The College has established links with Universities
in England which allows students to progress to further study. Students
who obtain appropriate standards in the Sports Therapy Course may
enter at levels above first year for the BSc. Degree (Hons.) in Rehabilitation
at Wolverhampton University and at entry level at other universities.
Upon successful completion of the FETAC Module - Exercise & Fitness,
students are eligible for the National Certificate in Exercise &
Fitness (N.C.E.F.) Conversion Course.
