Option One – Ground or Air Steward (IAOT)

This is a one year Course which includes the study of all aspects of the tourism industry as well as the reception and office skills essential to gaining employment in this area. This option concentrates on combining the essential skills and knowledge which will provide many career opportunities such as Ground / Air Steward personnel. Through our work experience programme, students will get a chance to further develop their skills. Tours that are relevant to the Course are organised throughout the year.

Career & Employment Opportunities
Successful students have a wide choice of job opportunities in the tourism sector – travel agents, cabin staff, resort representatives, hotels, international reservation bureaus, tour guides or tourism information bureaus. Holders of the Tourism & Travel Award may avail of a number of reserved places in IT’s (National Certificate in Business Studies – Tourism).

Students can also further their studies in Year 2 - Management & Marketing in Tourism in the College.
