Option Two – E-Travel, Air Fares & Ticketing (IATA/ABTA)


This is a one year course which includes the study of all aspects of the tourism industry combined with the reception and office skills necessary to obtain employment in this area. This option allows students to obtain a qualification which trains students in E-Travel, Airfares & Ticketing. Upon successful completion of the examinations, students will have an IATA qualification in Airfares & Ticketing using Luftansa which is equivalent to 10 IATA points. Students supplement their studies with work experience in a relevant area.

Career & Employment Opportunities
There are many interesting & Exciting career opportunities within the Tourism Industry for students with this qualification - travel agents, resort representatives, reservation bureaus, travel consultant, airport staff. Holders of the FETAC Award may also further their studies & avail of a number of reserved places in IT. Students can also further their studies in Year 2 - Management & Marketing in Tourism in the College.
