The Open Learning Centre (OLC) offers a choice of computer training opportunities. Learners have the option to attend short courses in small group classes within the Centre or avail of online training. We provide easy to follow class notes and revision exercises to reinforce learning and build confidence. International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL). Certification awarded by the Irish Computer Society, proves that a learner has the digital skills to work to a recognised standard. It equips the learner with practical computer and invaluable skills for the workforce and is recognised by employers worldwide. Candidates may choose to undertake individual or all ICDL modules listed below. Course duration will depend on the number of modules selected.

Skills to Advance training is delivered through online live sessions or classes within the Open Learning Centre. Tutors are available to answer questions, provide support and offer guidance during training sessions. Class notes, practical revision exercises, quizzes and activities are included.
Individual ICDL Training
Learners with previous computer experience may choose individual ICDL packages. Contact the Centre for further information.

QQI Level 4
The OLC offers short courses leading to QQI Level 4 certification. All course materials provided. Suitable for early school leavers or adults wishing to return to education. A minimum of 6 hours training required per week. Course duration per module will be approximately 4-5 weeks.

- Word Processing
- Using Spreadsheets
- Using Databases
Modules may be subject to change:
Upon completion successful candidates may progress on to QQI Level 5 courses within Crumlin College or other colleges of further education.
